The Brazos County chapter of the American Cancer Society invites you to Crush Clays for Cancer on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Tonkaway Ranch in College Station, TX.
Crushing Clays for Cancer is a 10-station, 50-clay shoot at Tonkaway Ranch’s challenging sporting clays course with prizes for the top three shooters and winning team. Registration is open to complete teams of four and individual shooters. Single shooters will be paired with a team when possible. Participants will receive breakfast, lunch and event t-shirt with registration.
Team and shooter award presentations will take place after lunch, along with a silent auction for hunting gear and supplies and a raffle for a Beretta A300 Outlander Shotgun. Raffle tickets are $10 each.

Covering the hill with blankets and lawn chairs, music lovers of all walks of life have ventured to Wolf Pen Creek Park since 2002 to enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment under the stars during the Starlight Music Series. This year, we’re bringing back six nights of entertainment and the Voters’ Choice contest.

Admission is free. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7. Guests may bring their own refreshments. Coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Glass containers, kegs, and pets are not allowed. Concessions will be available for purchase. Smoking is not allowed in the main seating area. There are three designated smoking areas in the facility. Blanket-only seating areas are designated for each concert. Chairs are welcome, but they may not occupy blanket-only seating. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall, and handicap parking will be located off of Colgate Drive.

Open registration begins May 2nd. A 50% deposit will save and confirm your place in the camp session. Parents can register their children (ages 4-12) for one week or for the whole summer.
Utilizing non-traditional teaching techniques, museum artifacts & art, and fun-filled interactive activities, experienced teachers create customized plans for each day, corresponding to weekly themes. This year’s themes include: Our Galaxy & Beyond, Wild About Nature, Young Engineers, Dino Discoverers, Monkey Business, Legends & Lore, Animal Architects, and Transportation Through Time.
Studying science and history helps children know and understand the world around them. The Museum offers children this opportunity in a safe, fun, and interdisciplinary educational setting. Facilities include classroom areas, a Discovery Room, Museum galleries, and a 40-acre park, all used to enhance children’s learning experience. To ensure personalized instruction, classes are grouped by age and kept small, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:10.
Week 10, August 14—18, is Summer Extension Day Camp, allowing campers to register for a single day. Each day this week focuses on a different topic from the Magic School Bus Film Series: Decomposition (“Meet the Rot Squad”), Sound (“In the Haunted House”), Seeds (“Goes to Seed”), Cells (“Goes Cellular”), and Symbiosis (“Takes a Dive”).
Camp fees are $155/ week for members and $175/ week for non-members. Summer Extension Day Camp fees are $45/ day for members and $50/ day for non-members. Before-camp care runs from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at $25/week. After-camp care runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at $50/week. (Days can be prorated at $5/day or $10/day).
